After a successful reading month in September, I am back in my slump. I knew this would happen. Usually, after finishing a book I have an idea on what to read next, even if I wait a week before starting it. However, that did not happen after I finished Norse Mythology so I have no idea when I’ll pick up another book.
However, TV and films have filled the space of this reading slump. Specifically, the Peaky Blinders have taken over my life. If you have yet to watch this show feel free to check out this post where I urge everyone to and experience the stress that comes with the Peaky Blinders.
With that, here is a summary of what I got up on the blog in October.

November Plans
November is shaping up to be quite the busy month for me. I have a couple of projects lined up at work and I also have some personal projects I’m looking in to. So, it’s basically all systems go.
Also, now that we’ve passed bonfire night, I am officially in Christmas mode. This month I plan on sorting out most of the gifts because December will be a killer for my bank account cause on top of Christmas, I also have 3 birthdays in the family, so planning is definitely needed. Also, how is it that we’re already in the final 2 months of 2018? It’s crazy.
With reading, I’ve adapted this go with the flow philosophy. I no longer stress over the pressure to read and just pick up a book when I am in the mood to. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I have been posting a lot more content related to TV and films. Would you like to see more of that?
What was your highlight in October?
Looks like you had a great blogging month Lois, but I’m sad to hear you’re back in a slump! What do you normally do to try and get out of them? I love Peaky Blinders! I watched all four seasons with my parents earlier this year and we’re now eagerly awaiting the final series next year! I’ve got to tell you though, I’m definitely not in Christmas mode yet 😉 My sister’s birthday is later this month, so I never start thinking about Christmas until after we’ve celebrated her day. 🙂

Re-reading is usually my go-to, but I’ve found that after re-reading a book and loving the feeling I fall back into the slump. I just take it as it is and hopes for the best now haha. My mam and I are on the last episode and I genuinely don’t know what I’m going to do with myself once I finish. It’s such a brilliant show. It’ll be hard for another show to top it. Both my brothers have their birthdays in December (one on Christmas day), so I always need an additional month to plan beforehand haha.

Thank you. ❤ I'm quite pleased with myself with how many posts I'm still able to produce, even if my blog hopping is slacking.

Wow! It sounds like you’ve been busy, even if you haven’t been reading as much.

I think the lead up from now until Christmas is going to be pretty hectic for me. I’m hoping to make the most of any day off I have,

I’m so sorry to hear you fell back into the slump 😦 I hope you’ll get out of it soon, but I also think it’s so important to find your right pace and, if you can’t read or just don’t want to read as much as before, either, it should be okay 🙂 It seems like you’re going to be very busy, I wish you the best of luck for all of your projects! 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing my posts! ❤ ❤

I just go with the flow. I’m used to it by now. The most frustrating part is kind of being in the mood to read but now knowing what to read. I think from now until Christmas is going to be my busiest time of year with everything that’s going on.

I’ve been fluctuating between watching tv and movies and reading books and I have no qualms about it 😂

That is the best way to go about it. I go through spurts of wanting to indulge in them one by one. I think the most frustrating part is not knowing what to watch/read.

I’m on the final episode and I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do with myself once I finish it. Anything I watch after that is going to be hard to top.
