Top Ten Tuesday: Book Predictions – 5 Star Reads on My TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

The elusive 5-star rating does not come out often, so when it does, you know you’re in for a treat. Some books are great, others are memorable, and some are so profound and moving, and stay with you for years afterwards. Those books are usually my 5-Star reads, and here are my predicted 5-Star reads on my TBR.

1. Us Against You by Fredrik Backman: As someone who has already declared Beartown to be the best book they read in 2020, there is no doubt that Us Against You will be an equally compelling story about the residence of Beartown. I’m ready to go on this emotional rollercoaster ride.

Book titles are so telling. It’s amazing how a massive spoiler can sometimes be hiding in plain sight in the book title. I find book titles to be so important, especially when you come to understand the meaning behind these titles. Therefore, this list will spotlight some of my favourite book titles.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Summer TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

I don’t have the best track record with TBR lists. My inner rebel often deviates whenever I even try to set one. On top of that, my reading game has seriously been slacking for the past couple of years. I like to think of this summer tbr list as a motivator to remind myself of all the wonderful book I own and really should get to reading.

Image result for should have done that gif

It has been over a year since I wrote a tag post, but this one was just too good to pass on. This tag is literally my shame list. I should have read most of these books by now, but as you can this is not the case. It’s actually surprising to see how many popular books are still on my tbr list.

A big thank you to Kate @ Reading Through Infinity for tagging me in this post. Be sure to check out her answers for this tag. Continue reading

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

It’s that time of year again. The time we celebrate all things love. Cupid’s got his arrow out, but I am happy to be treating myself for Valentine’s Day. I love books that have a sprinkle of romance, it makes my heart all warm and fuzzy. Love is beautiful, but it’s also messy and dark. It’s a complex emotion, one that is ever changing and these quotes demonstrate the various ways to express love. Some choose words, others choose actions. Some quotes have been spotlighted before, but I’m choosing to spotlight them again because of how they make me feel.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

We all have our favourite authors, the ones that are on our auto-buy list knowing that there’s a 90% we’ll love it. However, that does not mean that a few of those books slip right through our fingers. These are the books by my favourite authors that I’ve still not read yet.

Top Ten Tuesday: Worth the Hype

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

It would be so easy to write a list of the pros and cons of hyped books, but I’ll save that for another time. Instead, this weeks topic is all about highlighting those books that lived up to the hype. Now, I don’t know about you, but hyped books intimidate me because you go in expecting to be blown away only to be left with a mediocre ‘meh’ moment. However, certain books do live up to those expectations, and here are the books that are worth all the hype.
