Top Ten Tuesday: Autumnal Book Covers

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

We are right in the middle of autumn right now. The nights are longer, the air is crisper, and the leaves are crumbling. There is a magic to this time of year. When I think of autumn, I think of cosy nights by the fire, a cup of tea in hand, and a book at my side. This week, I’m looking at the book covers that capture that autumnal feel.

Top Ten Tuesday: Character Team-Ups

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

This week we’ve been given a freebie topic, so I thought it would be fun to create a mash-up of characters that I think would make a great team. Some of these teams would be incredibly formidable, others have been matched cause I think they’d form a solid friendship, while others would be pure chaos.

1. Kestrel and Sarene, The Winner’s Trilogy / Elantris: Two incredibly resourceful women, both with sharp minds and a keen eye for politics. This is one hell of a formidable duo. Their combined skill set is insane and I would not want to come between them. The beauty of this team-up would be the intellectual strategising you’d get. Both ladies play the game in their own way and could definitely overthrow a corrupt empire.

There’s something soothing about the rain and I’m always drawn to magical books on those rainy days. These are the books I would recommend for rainy days.

Top Ten Tuesday: Spring TBR 2019

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

As most of you know I suck at sticking to tbr list. Every year I set one and only read about 3 or 4 of them. It’s almost like my inner rebel is telling me to deviate from any tbr list I set. So, this year I’ve decided to narrow down my list and focus on the books I own. With luck, I might be able to tick one off by time summer rolls around.

Top Ten Tuesday: Character’s I’d Check in With

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

The original topic for this week is ‘standalone you’d like a sequel to.’ Now, as much as I want to explore more of the universes I love, there are some characters I would just like to check in with just so I can make sure that they’re okay. If they got a sequel then it’s a guarantee that they will be put through the wringer again and these characters deserve some peace.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books to Pull You Out of a Slump

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

As you all know, this year has not been the most productive reading wise for me. It’s safe to say I am most definitely in a slump. I recently wrote a discussion post on how I’ve come to embrace my book slump. However, if you are desperate to get rid of this slump then these type of books are the ones I’d recommend you turn to when facing a reading slump.

1. Contemporary Books
