Ones to Watch: February Book Releases 2021

Prepare yourself cause your already never-ending to-read pile is about to get bigger. Once again, readers are spoilt for choice when it comes to new titles. Whether you’re looking for a romance to sweep you off your feet, a fantasy adventure, or an ambiguous tale of hope, you’re sure to find what could be your next best read.

On Fragile Waves by E. Lily Yu (2)

You don’t have to wait long to get your hands on this book. On Fragile Waves looks like a captivating tale of hope and fractured dreams with an element of magical realism. This is a book that I can see being incredibly moving.

A Pho Love Story by Loan Le (9)

This book sounds positively adorable and is guaranteed to make me hungry. I adore the competitive rivalling families and am curious to unravel the mystery behind this feud. Both Linh and Bao sound like endearing characters and, I can’t wait to see them grow closer and navigate their budding relationship between this rivalry.

Make Up Break Up by Lily Menon (2)

This reader may have a soft spot for rivals to lovers romance. This book oozes chemistry and banter, and I’m curious to see how Annika and Hudson’s developing relationship affects their respective businesses. In a nutshell, sign me up.

The Iron Raven by Julie Kagawa (9)

Admittedly, I’m not familiar with Kagawa’s work, but this book sounds awesome. The lore of Faery’s is always a good selling point and, I’m curious to see how Robin Goodfellow rises to face this threat that could change the very nature of the world they know.

First Comes Like by Alisha Rai (16)

Look, February is the month of love, right? So, naturally, this post is going to spotlight all those cute contemporaries that make your heart fuzzy and warm. First Comes Like already has so much to get you excited. Internet culture, fake dating, and an ambitious heroine determined to conquer the internet and make-up industry.

As Far as You’ll Take Me by Phil Stamper (9)

You can’t go wrong with a coming of age story that takes you across Europe as our hero, Marty, looks to embrace his true self. However, sometimes the dream doesn’t reflect reality and, I’m sure readers everywhere will be able to relate to Marty’s uncertainty. I’m already rooting for him to find a place he can call home.

        1. I legit have no room on my shelf for more and I have 2 drawers of books I need to unhaul but have no means of getting rid of them. So yeah, no more books…for now.

          1. I have BOXES as in several ones, full of books, under my bed. And I have a massive bookshelf with no space either 😂 the few I sold was not nearly enough, but it’s hard to even donate them at the moment

  1. A Pho Love Story and As Far as You’ll Take Me both sounds really cool and I’m loving the pastel colours on the covers, so soft. I have been meaning to check out Phil Stamper’s debut book as well so I hope I enjoy both his books. I really hope you end up loving all these books !!
