Happy Sunday, everyone. Now, surely you must be thinking that my weekly playlist would consist of nothing but the best Christmas classics. Well, admittedly, this girl has yet to get that Christmas playlist on. Instead, my music playlists have been a mix of everything. Starting, with this band;
SUPER BEAVER
Yes, this reader has officially fallen down the J-Rock rabbit hole. SUPER BEAVER are the latest addition to my playlist. While the video featured in this post isn’t my most played song by them, it is the song that introduced me to the band and it has a habit of getting stuck in my head.
The Killers
The Killers are my go-to artists for a sing along in my car. For years their music has been a staple on my playlist, and I dare you not to sing along to classics ‘Somebody Told Me’ and ‘Mr. Brightside.’ However, the one song that always gets to me is ‘Shot at the Night.’ That song was written for the dreamers and I feel that connection deeply in this song. What’s your favourite Killers song?
Taylor Swift
Once again, Taylor Swift is making headlines by dropping yet another album totally out of the blue. Now, this reader is basically indifferent to Taylor Swift and her music these days, but you cannot deny that she is a master storyteller in music. You can expect a separate post on my favourite songs from ‘Evermore,’ but the one song that’s been making its appearance on my playlist is ‘mirrorball.’ That songs sounds so ethereal and it’s so easy to get lost in the song.
Biffy Clyro
Biffy Clyro are an all time favourite. If this band is not on your radar, please do yourself a favour and check out their music. They have a mass catalogue for you to get through. If this was two weeks ago, I probably would spotlight Space as my go-to Biffy Clyro song, but that has since shifted to ‘Flammable’ and ‘Know Your Quarry.’ Two very different songs in theme and tone, but both equally as captivating.
Roxette
I may be a 90’s child, but I adore 80’s music. I’m lucky to have a family that have a wide taste in music, so gorwing up I was exposed to a little bit of everything, which is why my playlists are so random sometimes. ‘Fading Like a Flower’ is my anthem. It’s got just enough power in the vocals without overwhelming the song.
I LOVE SHOT AT THE NIGHT! I am so happy you chose that one by the Killers. It’s been one of my playlist faves for such a long time, although I will admit that I first checked it out because of Max in the music video ahahaha then I just got obsessed with it.

I feel like Shot at the Night is such an underrated tune. That song always puts me in this dreamlike state where I can achieve anything. The music video is a bonus haha.

I don’t know what I’d do without music. It’s such a staple in my life. Selena Gomez has really grown on my as an artist. You can’t beat a sing-a-long to Taylor Swift every now and then. 😉
