Goodbuy summer sunshine. Hello, comfy clothes, boots, and the crisp autumnal air. I am the type of person that like my season in order so I am more than happy to welcome this new season, despite the fact I’ll miss my evening walks.
Looking back, August turned out to be a very busy month. I had a couple of reunions with old friends, attended village shows, work events, and a bunch of other random events throughout August. It was a fun month, for the most part, and the weather was glorious for most of it.Β
So, what’s been happening on the blog? I was surprised to find I’d written so many TV and film posts, but that is reflective of the fact that I’m still not reading as much. That’s not to say I’m not reading because I have made a lot of progress on the Lord of the Rings book. As many of you may know, the Lord of the Rings movie franchise is my all-time favourite. I grew up with the franchise yet I had never read the books as an adult. It’s quite fun reading them because I like seeing how the films deviated from the books.
Nevertheless, August wasn’t a bad blogging month and here is a summary of what I got up to.
TV & Film
6th: TV Talk – The Boys
16th: Film Friday – Space Mission Gone Wrong, Intense Trail-Rides, and Spiderman’s European Adventure
25th: TV Talk – The Best of Frenemies, Lacklustre Finale, and an Assassin with Potential
29th: Ranking – Funniest Friends Character
30th: Film Friday: Shazam!
Top Ten Tuesday
13th: Fantasy Characters You’d Want as Allies
20th: Favourite/Least Favourite Book Tropes
Waiting on Wednesday
7th: Faker
14th: A Little Hatred
21st: The Girl the Sea Gave Back
28th: Little Universes

September Plans
Well, September is shaping up to be to quite the exciting month. Why? I’m finally going on holiday. I’ll be heading to Prague in a couple weeks time for a little break just to detox and explore a beautiful city. This has been long overdue and a much-needed break.
I have some other September plans, but since they’re more ideas at the moment I don’t think there’s a lot to say about them. Hopefully, if I get my head in the game I can make a start on developing these ideas, but time will tell.
Reading wise, I plan on finishing the fellowship of the ring and maybe get a start on two towers, or even try reading one of my unread books that are gathering dust on my bookshelf. I really don’t know what my reading mood will be, so I’m just gonna go with the flow.Β
What was your highlight of the month?
What was the best book you read in August?
Any plans for September?
thank you so much for mentioning one of my posts here! <333

I hope you enjoy The Lord of the Rings. I LOVED The Hobbit, but didn’t love The Fellowship of the Ring. I need to continue on to see if I like the second book better…

Had I not been such a fan of the films I don’t think I would have enjoyed the book as much.
