June Wrap Up 2019

Breaking news, this girl right here finally finished a book. It only took 2 and a half months, but I made it to the final page of Strange the Dreamer and it was as wonderful and magical as I expected it to be. Not gonna lie, the satisfaction of finishing a book was immense, but now I’m back to square one with a conflict on which book to read next.

In other news, June was a pretty standard month for me. More work and not enough play, but those random days off were well spent with good company. In terms of blogging, I’ve not been as active as usual, but I was proud of myself for publishing a discussion post and while it’s been a long time since my last book review, I was very satisfied with the outcome of my latest one.

July Goals

I have some personal goals for July, but I’ll be keeping them on the down low until further notice because at this stage I feel like revealing them will just add more pressure onto myself.

One goal I definitely need to work on is replying to comments sooner. I’ve been slacking in my responses and have let just over a weeks worth of comments go unreplied. Apologies for that, but hopefully when things calm down here I can catch up on them sooner.

I would like to read another book in July, but I make no promises. Basically, my philosophy is to just wing it.

What was your highlight of the month?
Any plans for July?

  1. Congrats on finishing a book! 😀 I know the feeling when you finally read something after not reading for a long time. I really want to read Strange the Dreamer, as I have heard amazing things about it. Hopefully I’ll be able to get my hands on it soon. I hope you have an amazing July! 🙂

  2. *CHEERS ON FINISHING A BOOK* Love, we’ve definitely ALL been there ha-ha! That was me ALL THE TIME in 2018 ha-ha! You shared so many posts from bloggers I just LOVE!!!

Highlight of June? Getting an ARC from NetGalley that was actually a beautiful read! July? Books, weddings, yoga, running, hiding from the humidity, repeat.

    1. *takes a bow* why thank you. I’ve long accepted that I’ll be a casual reader from now on haha.

July sounds like an awesome month for you. Although I would not want to be dealing with the humidity. I can only just barely cope with the heat haha.

      1. Yeah, me too. Apparently my ‘casual’ is insane to my friends, but in the blogging world, I’m definitely a casual reader haha!

Funny enough, it hasn’t been TOO had yet. Last year, we had humidity for LITERALLY 4 months straight. This year, we have good and bad days and we’ve had more rain.

    1. Haha I’m surprised I actually finished one!!

I think between work and the lovely weather I find I’ve been spending more time outside than on the blog.
