February Wrap Up 2019

Happy Pancake day everyone. I hope all of you are making the most of this glorious day. It’s basically an opportunity to eat pancakes a load of pancakes with no regrets. Now, 2019 is quickly flying away from us. I’m still semi-reading, but the thing is, I don’t feel guilty for not finishing or reading a book anymore. I’ll read when I can and feel like it. So, I’m currently in the middle of the collector’s edition of Six of Crows and I love re-reading this book because all those subtle, forgotten moments are coming back and my shipper’s heart is going into overdrive again.

Beyond the books, I seem to just be living in the same old routine. Nothing remarkable happened this month, so it’s just surviving the daily grind. I have been actively writing more TV and film posts lately and I have some ideas for discussion posts, but I just need time to write them all.Β

Again, I apologise for not being as active on the blog-hopping front. Hopefully, I can do more this month. Anyway, here is my summary for February.

March GoalsΒ

Just stay calm, take some time to relax and not stress so much about things you have no control over. I have a 10-day break coming up so I’m trying to think of things to do or catch up on these days off. I might have a weekend break to somewhere, but mostly I just want to relax, and maybe do some more reading.

What was your highlight of the month?
What was the best book you read in March?

  2. I don’t usually reread, but I’d like to reread SOC now that I’ve read the Grisha Trilogy. Like you said, there are so many little moments that would stick out a lot more and make lots more sense. Speaking of, King of Scars might be the best book I read in February . . . though We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson was amazing as well. I hope you have a relaxing March!

    1. This re-read has been the best thing for my reading slump. It’s been so long since I dedicated a night solely to reading a book. It’s so refreshing, and the smaller moments are just so precious. I’m so happy to hear that you loved King of Scars. I’m hoping to get to that book in the next couple of month cause I am definitely curious. Hope March is treating you kindly so far. πŸ˜€

  3. A lot of people think you have to be productive or explore stuff if you have time off, but I am a pro-laziness kind of person. When I have some me time, I am ALL for relaxing, bingeing TV shows and just not doing all that much. I hope you’ll have a nice break either way it goes for you!
And thank you so so much for sharing my post!! (Russian Doll is a masterpiece)

    1. I’ve officially decided that my time off will become a staycation. I realised I just needed to relax more than anything. Plus, by staying at home I get more time to actually plan and possibly book something for the summer instead. πŸ˜€
