Sorry, this post is a little late. Admittedly I forgot all about my monthly recap, but it’s here and very short this time around. March was a very slumpy month for me. We got bombarded by more snow at the start of the month, but we did get a few days that showed signs of spring.
As you know I’ve been in a terrible slump so far this year. However, my non-reading state gives me more time to catch up on my TV shows. In March, I was in the mood to re-watch Attack on Titan. As I was watching it I actually found myself appreciating the earlier episodes more in terms of their set up and how it helped establish the characters. Captain Levi is still my favourite though.
This months reading list is not that remarkable, but I always find that the best methods to beat a slump is to power through it or to re-read a favourite. Walk the Edge features one of my favourite McGarry couples and I never get tired of reading their story.

April Goals
Write. April has already proven to be a busy month with work, and on top of that, I plan on writing up some blog posts scheduled for when I’m in Canada. Safe to say I’ve given myself a lot to do this month. I will also be celebrating my 24th birthday towards the end of the month, so there’s that. However, my biggest goal is to read. I can finally report that I’ve gotten my reading mojo back. I’ve already finished a book this month and am slowly making my way through the second. I’m never going to be the person that reads 10 books a month, but that has never been a goal of mine. I’m just excited to be reading again.

Oh yes reading slumps. I think we’ve all been there and it’s not pleasant. That is great that you were able to get out of it by re-reading an old favourite 🙂
My favourite book that I started in March (and finished yesterday) is The Book Thief. It is such a heartbreaking and inspiring book and the same time and I really love it.

When it comes to reading, I think quality is more important than quantity! I would rather read one book that I really love than 10 books that I feel mediocre about. Have a wonderful April!

The Book Thief ❤ That book will always be a favourite of mine. It's my go-to recommendation for historical fiction.
I'm planning to visit Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, Hamilton, and then spend some time with my relatives out there. I'm so excited to visit.
I don't think numbers should ever be a factor when it comes to reading.

Sounds like you will be able to tour around southern Ontario, which is great! Hope that you will enjoy exploring the area and spending time with family 🙂 I really love the food scene in Toronto which is something I missed now that I’ve moved away. Have a great trip!

I think the weather had an impact as well. Once the sun showed it’s face I found myself eager to read again haha.
I’m flying out on the 10th of May and returning on the 12th of June. I’ll probably be more active on twitter when I’m out there so expect a lot of pictures!!
