This week I am waiting on
Muse of Nightmares (Strange the Dreamer, #2) by Laini Taylor
Publication Date: October 2nd, 2018
Goodreads Summary
Sarai has lived and breathed nightmares since she was six years old.
She believed she knew every horror, and was beyond surprise.
She was wrong.
In the wake of tragedy, neither Lazlo nor Sarai are who they were before. One a god, the other a ghost, they struggle to grasp the new boundaries of their selves as dark-minded Minya holds them hostage, intent on vengeance against Weep.
Lazlo faces an unthinkable choice–save the woman he loves, or everyone else?–while Sarai feels more helpless than ever. But is she? Sometimes, only the direst need can teach us our own depths, and Sarai, the muse of nightmares, has not yet discovered what she’s capable of.
As humans and godspawn reel in the aftermath of the citadel’s near fall, a new foe shatters their fragile hopes, and the mysteries of the Mesarthim are resurrected: Where did the gods come from, and why? What was done with thousands of children born in the citadel nursery? And most important of all, as forgotten doors are opened and new worlds revealed: Must heroes always slay monsters, or is it possible to save them instead?
Love and hate, revenge and redemption, destruction and salvation all clash in this gorgeous sequel to the New York Times bestseller, Strange the Dreamer.
I’m a big fan of Laini Taylor. However, I’ve still not read Strange the Dreamer yet, but I’m hoping to do so by the end of the year. I already know that Laini’s writing is evocative and magical, but I’ve been warned about a cliffhanger at the end of the first book, so I can’t wait to get my hands on the sequel so I can binge read everything in one sitting.
What’s your most anticipated book?
Have you read Strange the Dreamer?
I lent Starnge the Dreamer to a friend and she told me off for making her cry! I’m beyond excited for the sequel!!!

Wow, I didn’t realise we had to wait so long for this! But I’m also secretly pleased because I’m the same as you – I haven’t read Strange The Dreamer yet and need time to get to it! Maybe we should do a buddy read next month? 😀

I am all for a buddy read for this one. I think because I know it’ll be a book I really need to focus on it puts me off, but once I get into it I can see myself loving it.

Oooh yay, awesome! I’ll DM you on twitter about possible dates for a buddy read? I think we’re both going to love it tbh – it’s about books and a library! 😀
