Apparently, it’s officially springtime now. Well, it still feels a whole lot like winter right now. So, looking back on February, I can safely say it was eventful. Why? Well, the main reason being, as most of you know, I started my new job. It’s been a bit of an information overload to start with, but still really enjoyable and I feel like I’m slowly finding my feet there.
In terms of reading and blogging, it’s been a mixed bag. I’ve still made the effort to continuously post on the blog, but my blog-hopping is not so good. I tend to stick to blog-hopping and replying once a week, which is not so great. It’s the most time-consuming part of blogging, and I love it, but I just don’t have the energy or the time to commit to it more than once a week right now. Hopefully, that will not be the case soon.
My reading hasn’t been much better. I’m still in this horrendous slump. I see books that sound great, but when I get to reading them I lose interest really quick. However, I am so happy to say that I did end up reading two books. First, Brooklynaire. I love that we FINALLY got Becca and Nates book. It was fun, sweet, sensual, and everything you could have wanted from their book. I also read the light novel for Your Name. I’ve spoken about my love for the film so I thought I’d give the book a shot as well. It doesn’t deviate from the film, but it does delve into the mindset and emotions Mitsuha and Taki experience.
I must say the highlight of the month for me was the Winter Olympics. I was hooked from the start and could not stop watching it. I keep saying this, but I always say I feel like I get an adrenaline kick after just watching the sports. I didn’t know what to do with myself once they finished.
Enough talking, here is February’s monthly recap.
Brooklynaire (Brooklyn Bruisers, #4) by Sarina Bowen: 4/5 Stars
Your Name (light novel) by Makoto Shinkai: 3.5/5 Stars

March Goals
March has already been a pretty eventful month. We’ve been hit by some pretty heavy snow this past week and it was insane. I don’t remember the last time I saw so much snow. Now, I love the snow. I’m like a child whenever it starts snowing, but I do realise how much of a pain it can be, especially for traveling, and we also had a huge power cut. It’s also been so cold here, so I hope everyone that has been hit by the snow is keeping warm.
I have some goals, but most of them are related to my travel plans, which is now feeling a lot like a reality now, so basically I just want to book everything that needs to be booked so I can just focus on saving up.
I’ve actually decided to re-read Walk the Edge and I love how easy it is for me to slip back into the world of the Reign of Terror. My hopes are that this book might just break my slump, but that is never a guarantee. If anything, I might just end up re-reading books for the month.
I hope you’ve all had a lovely February and that March has been kind to you.
To close here is a very snowy pic of my part of the world.
What was the highlight of the month for you?
What are your goals for March?
Yeah, what’s going on with this weather, eh? π How is it spring? Thank you so much for mentioning my post! I loved Marie’s post too π Great wrap up!

The weather has been crazy with us as well. I don’t think we’ve had such an intense cold streak for a long time. Anyway, all the yeses for the travel plans. Booking everything as early as possible is mostly a good plan. You will have so much fuuun!

I am so ready for more sunshine. I’m fed up with snow for now. It can come again in December. My method is to book one of two things per week so I don’t get too overwhelmed.

Sun is coming back here, but not without some real wind. But your plan for booking things sounds good π

I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of Your Name. I’m even contemplating getting the manga now as well haha.
It’s already starting to feel real so I’m basically trying to book one or two things per week just so I don’t get too overwhelmed by everything haha.
Hope March has been kind to you so far.
