All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater

Publication Date: October 10th 2017

Goodreads Summary
Here is a thing everyone wants:
A miracle.

Here is a thing everyone fears:
What it takes to get one.

Any visitor to Bicho Raro, Colorado is likely to find a landscape of dark saints, forbidden love, scientific dreams, miracle-mad owls, estranged affections, one or two orphans, and a sky full of watchful desert stars.

At the heart of this place you will find the Soria family, who all have the ability to perform unusual miracles. And at the heart of this family are three cousins longing to change its future: Beatriz, the girl without feelings, who wants only to be free to examine her thoughts; Daniel, the Saint of Bicho Raro, who performs miracles for everyone but himself; and Joaquin, who spends his nights running a renegade radio station under the name Diablo Diablo.

They are all looking for a miracle. But the miracles of Bicho Raro are never quite what you expect.

I almost forgot about this book. Everyone knows that The Raven Cycle is one of my favourite series so I was thrilled to hear that Maggie Stiefvater has another book coming out this year. You can’t predict what you’ll get with a Stiefvater novel but I am sure it will be all kinds of magical.

What’s your most anticipated book?

  1. Okay….I almost forgot about this book as well, thank you for mentioning it! I need to add it to my TBR to make sure I’m not going to forget it anymore ahah. I loved The Raven Cycle and I’m eager to read more from the author! Did you read her other, already released books? 🙂

    1. I’ve read and loved the Raven Cycle and the Scorpio Races, which is a perfect autumn read. I’ve not read her Wolves of Mercy Falls series yet mainly because I’m not the biggest fan of werewolves and such.

  2. I wasn’t excited about this book until I read the Scorpio races a couple weeks ago. It was my first Stiefvater and I loved it, so now I’m super excited for this one!!
My most anticipated book for all of 2017 is A Skinful of Shadows by Frances Hardinge. She’s my favorite author and I can’t waaaaiit!!

    1. I adored the Scorpio Races. I find it’s the perfect book to read in the autumn cause it’s so atmospheric. I can’t say I’ve heard of A Skinful of Shadows but I’ll be sure to check it out. I hope you get to enjoy both books. 😀

  3. You know, I’m probably one of the few people not looking forward to this one. I feel like Maggie Stiefvater’s writing wouldn’t be for me. BUT! I hope you love this one and that it’s everything you want it to be. 🙂

    1. I don’t blame you. I definitely think that her writing is either a hit or miss to most people. I’ll give this book a go and hopefully it’ll be a hit.
