I’ve basically given up on catching up with all the tags and hope that my sporadic attempt to catch up actually pays off. This tag was created by Ariel Bisset and I was tagged by the wonderful Jesse @ Books at Dawn.
IF YOU WERE THE RULER OF BOOKS…
WHAT BOOK WOULD YOU MAKE EVERYONE READ?
Shades of Magic trilogy because it’s one of my all time favourite fantasy series with morally ambiguous, complex characters.
WHAT WOULD YOU ABOLISH IN BOOK CONSTRUCTION?
Twilight. Just so I can save people from the concept of “sparkling” vampires.
WHAT AUTHOR WOULD YOU COMMISSION TO WRITE YOU ANY BOOK?
So many possibilities with this one but based on the fact that I’ve just finished the trilogy, I would make Marie Rutkoski write a book following Kestrel and Arin living a happy life and doing all things cute and domestic cause they deserve it. I would also make her write a Roshar spin off cause I can’t get enough of that guy and I think the tension between him and his sisters is very interesting and could become a source of conflict for him.
WHAT BOOK WOULD YOU DEMOTE TO THE LIBRARY BASEMENT TO MAKE ROOM FOR NEW BOOK?
Based on the fact that my interest in these books are non-existent these days and looking back I never really felt that love for them in the first place.
WHAT COVER ARTIST WOULD YOU COMMISSION TO MAKE A MURAL?
Merilliza because her illustrations for the Air Awakens series is breathtaking.
WHAT CHARACTERS FACE WOULD YOU PUT ON A COIN?
Inej Ghafa. She’s strong and vulnerable. She’s experienced some horrible traumas and done terrible things but she still retains her moral compass. She is a beacon of light who never loses her hope.
WHAT BOOK WOULD YOU AWARD THE “RULER OF BOOKS” 2016 PRIZE TO?
Crooked Kingdom. This is how you write a series conclusion. It was everything I wanted it to be and so much more.

Twilight should definitely be abolished! XD 50 Shades as well. Ah A Darker Shade of Magic and Six of Crows are two of the books constantly on my radar, heard nothing but amazing things about it.

Ugh 50 Shades. I’m trying to block that book out of existence. Why people love it I don’t know. Shades of Magic and Six of Crows are basically the two book series I shove onto everyone haha
