The Mistake is the second book in the Off-Campus series and as expected it is funny, sexy and a whole lot of fun. The book follows Logan, Garret’s best friend. He’s a player and everyone knows it, so when a chance encounter brings Logan and Grace together, the sparks fly. The last thing Logan expected was to fall for her but after a mistake pushes her away, Logan find that he want to be the guy she turns to and that the idea of being in a relationship isn’t as bad as it seems. 

Grace and Logan’s relationship in the Mistake is a bit of a rollercoaster. The chemistry between the two is evident from the get-go but then you hit the road block and Logan makes a pretty big mistake and so the rest of the book is dedicated to proving to Grace that he is worthy of a second chance. I wasn’t sure what to make of Logan in the beginning. We knew that he had a crush on Hannah, Garrett’s girlfriend and protagonist in the first book, and the beginning of this book has him hung up on that crush. Thankfully he didn’t act on this crush and I loved that Hannah actually called him out on it and they talked things through in the end. Once that was dealt with, I found myself enjoying Logan’s character a lot more and as we learnt about his family and the relationship he had with his dad, I found myself sympathizing with Logan. I could feel his frustration and I hated the fact that he had to put his dreams on hold so he could do his part for the family. I also loved how he pursued Grace. His mistake was a huge slap in the face to Grace and if I was in her situation, it’d take a lot of persuading for me to give him a second chance. Logan was definitely determined and his gestures had me swooning and he definitely proved himself to be worthy of her love by the end. 

Grace was also an enjoyable character. In a lot of ways she reminds me a lot of myself. She’s used to being in the background and playing it safe. She’s always been more of a follower than a leader and I loved seeing her break free of this role over the course of the book. 

Overall this was another solid installment to a wonderful series. The drama in minimum and the relationships, romantic and platonic, are a joy to read about. Garrett and Hannah remain to be my favourite couple but I definitely enjoyed Logan and Grace’s story.
