A Conjuring of Light (Shades of Magic #3) by V. E. Schwab

Publication Date: February 21st 2017

Goodreads Summary
The battle between four magical Londons comes to a head in this stunning finale to the New York Times bestselling Shades of Magic trilogy by rising star V. E. Schwab.

Londons fall and kingdoms rise while darkness sweeps the Maresh Empire—and the fraught balance of magic blossoms into dangerous territory while heroes and foes struggle alike. The direct sequel to A Gathering of Shadows, and the final book in the Shades of Magic epic fantasy series, A Conjuring of Light sees Schwab reach a thrilling culmination concerning the fate of beloved protagonists—and old enemies.

This series. Where do I even begin. A Gathering of Shadows remains to be my favourite book of the year, so it’s only natural that I am desperately anticipating the third and final book in this series. I just have so many questions and I need answers. To start, the evilness of that cliffhanger is still painful to think about. I also would like to know more about Kell’s biological family and I am positive the Maresh’s have the answer to that and also maybe get some answers about Lila’s past. This is a series where I genuinely cannot predict anything. I have no idea what’s going to happen, who’s going to survive, who will emerge victorious etc. Everything is at stake for our characters and I am so, so, so, desperately excited and terrified to find out where the path takes them.

To help us pass the time until the release let’s discuss the cover. To start, it’s so badass and epic but the more important question is – who is sat on the throne!?

Also, if you haven’t already done so, if you fancy torturing yourself you can read an excerpt of the opening scene of A Conjuring of Light here.

What’s your most anticipated book?

  2. A Gathering of Shadows still holds the place of my favorite sequel of 2016 (A Little Life already sits on all time favorite book of 2016). Me too, I need to know about Kell and Lila and everyone. And, thank goodness, I thought I was the only one wondering who was on the throne. (I didn’t want to express my doubts until someone else was also in the loss like I was, lol.)
