Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
This week I am waiting on
The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
Publication Date: November 1st 2016
Goodreads Summary
Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.
Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us.The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?
I absolutely adored Everything, Everything so I am excited about this book. Natasha and Daniel seem like opposites in a lot of ways but I feel like the more time they spend together the more they’ll realise how alike they are. I also love the chance of exploring the way our choices lead us to the place we are in time and the consequences of those choices.
What’s your most anticipated book?
I actually haven’t read Everything, Everything yet but I know A LOT of people absolutely love it ❤️ Thanks for letting me know about this one Lois! I am definitely going to add it to my TBR 🤗

That seems like a good choice for a book to wait on and the cover is gorgeous! I think currently I am most excited about Morgan Matson’s new book The Unexpected Everything. SOON IT SHALL BE MINE!

I’m not usually a contemporary reader so I don’t know if I’ll get to this, but the cover is gorgeous! I love the concept of choices/consequences too.

Summer is when I tend to pick up more contemporaries cause at heart I am a fantasy girl haha. This book definitely sounds promising and I think it’ll be a fun read so we’ll see how things go. 😀

Funnily enough, as I was reading the premise I was like this is so Yoon. And funnily enough when I read why you wanted to read it, I discovered this is another Nicola Yoon novel. XD So I had no idea this was coming out. And, oh my goodness, I love the precision of the art on the cover. ❤

Lol, I don’t know why I said funnily enough twice. Gosh, being away from the blogosphere has me losing all my internet social skills and making incoherent comments. XD

haha to be honest I didn’t really notice until you pointed it out to me. 😛
If I hadn’t seen Yoon’s tweet, this book probably would have slipped past me as well.
