February. A month of pancakes and book comas. Once again I have no idea where the times has gone and I am convinced that we’re somehow skipping days.
As I mentioned last month my mission for this year is to find a balance between my fantasy/contemporary reading ratio. I feel like we’re making good progress on this promise as I’ve finally gotten my fantasy kick.
I only read three books this month which is pretty average for me but I will stress that A Gathering of Shadows has put me in a semi permanent book coma. I’m still coming to terms with the happenings of that book so I’m not quite ready to move on.
Rites of Passage by Joy N. Hensely: 3.5/5 Stars
Air Awakens (Air Awakens #1) by Elise Kova: 4 Stars
A Gathering of Shadows (Shades of magic #2) by V. E. Schwab: 5 Stars
- Note: A Gathering of Shadows is my first 5 star book of the year. YAY!
My good friend, Vinita also provided a lovely Guest Review post for the book See Me by Nicholas Sparks: 4 Stars.

March To Be Read List
I actually do have a goal of books I would like to read in the next month. Hopefully once I get out of my book coma I’ll be able to read Fire Falling (Air Awakens #2) by Elise Kova and possibly go on to the third book, Earth’s End.
Other than that I have no definite reading plans for March. However, there are several books that I want to read expected to come out this month so hopefully I can get my hands on them.
In non-bookish news I’ve also finally gotten back into binge watching mode and I’ve started watching Mr. Robot and plan to finally watch Outlander this month. Still I make no promises.
How has February treated you?
Oh shit, a semi permanent book coma after finishing AGOS? I’m starting it tonight and now I am freaking out. DAMN.
Luckily my fangirl side is going pretty strong at the moment 😀 I am sure it will be as amazing as I want it to be (please tell me it will) but something definitely smells like cliffhanger…

5 days ago it was a permanent book coma haha. The book is everything I wanted and so much more but the pain is oh so very sharp and real and I just can’t deal. A support group will be needed by the end. 😉

I’m still eyeballing A Gathering of Shadows. I’m so picky I’m scared I’ll hate it. -.- Here’s my monthly wrap-up.

Personally I loved it. The characters take center stage but there’s still some plot progression. Basically I was an emotional mess by the end haha.

Yay for your first 5 star read of the year. I got mine this month too. I really want to binge Mr. Robot this summer. Have a great March!

5 stars always make me happy, even if I end up an emotional mess haha. So far Mr.Robot is interesting. The acting is on point.

Awe, *blushes* you mentioned me in your recap! I feel so honored!!! I got A Gathering of Shadows in the mail today and want to read it as soon as I am done with Glass Sword, which is why I stayed away from your review so far hahaha I thought I should mention that, but I shall return upon finishing the book!

Thank you for mentioning me, your too sweet 🙂
And I so need to read A Darker Shade of Magic so badly! I’ve been wanting to read it since it came out! My TBR pile is becoming a bit problem…

You’re welcome. A Darker Shade of Magic embodies everything I love about fantasy and the sequel has me in pieces. No second book slump here. I desperately need to tame my tbr pile. It’s getting out of control haha.

I feel like we’re just never going to recover from that emotional trauma. My heart’s still in pieces. Cure the evil cliffhanger for making me feel haha.
