The Dashing Through the Snow tag is without a doubt the perfect way to get us all into the festive spirit. This tag was created by Astra @ A Strangers Guide To Novels. I was tagged by Joey @ Another After Thought. Thank you Joey. I love this season so this tag is perfect for me.
Name a book you’d like to see under your Christmas tree?
Sadly, being in the UK means I have to wait until the 17th for this book to be released. So I thought why not wait a little longer and see if Santa would gift me with this book. 😉
A book you’ll be reading during the Christmas season?
I’ve just finished reading Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta and I’ve honestly never been so moved by a book. I have no words to describe how beautiful this story is.
I also think I might just re-read My True Love Gave to Me: 12 holiday romances. I read this book last winter and it made me so happy. What better book to get you into that festive spirit.
Favorite Christmas movie?
Elf. Hands down. I love, love, love it. Me and my brothers always watch the film this time of year. It just makes me happy.
The Grinch is a close second.
Do you like snow?
Yes. I love everything about snow. It’s so picturesque. There’s nothing better than waking up in the morning and just seeing a blanket of snow covering everything. It’s magical.
Name a character you would like to spend Christmas day with?
This is a very tough question and I had to think really hard about this. I would love to spend Christmas with the Rampion crew. I think Christmas with them would be all sorts of fun and chaotic. With Thorne and Cinder’s banter, Winter being wonderfully weird and Iko no doubt going all out for the occasion, I think we’d have a very merry Christmas. Plus imagine Wolf wearing an ugly Christmas jumper.
To give or to receive?
Definitely to give. As stressful as it is I love finding the perfect gift for my friends and family. Plus I have some pretty good wrapping skills haha.
What fictional place would you like to spend Christmas at?
Middle-earth. I’m sure the Hobbits make a lovely Christmas meal.
Fondest Christmas memory?
The time we had a white Christmas. Snow just makes me feel a bit more festive and then going for a walk with all my family in the snow was a lot of fun…and chaotic.
Can you say “Christmas tree” ten times fast in a row (while pronouncing them correctly)?
I can. Go me. Now you try.

My festive spirit has definitely been kicked up a notch after this tag. Elf is just a classic as is Home Alone. I love the snow, I think it makes this time of year a bit more cosy.

I actually have unpopular opinions about Elf. HAHA
It’s probably because I really don’t like Will Farrell.
Thanks for the tag Lois! 😀

haha I’m not the biggest fan of Will Farrell but he always wins me over in Elf. I forgot all about Home Alone but that one is another favourite 😀
