Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
This week I am waiting on
Morning Star (Red Rising #3) by Pierce Brown
Publication Date: February 9th 2016.
Goodreads Summary
Born a lowly Red in the mines of Mars, Darrow lost his beloved wife to the treacherous Gold overlords. Vowing to fight for the future that his wife believed in, Darrow joins a secret revolutionary group and is remade into a Gold so that he can infiltrate the ruling class and bring them down from the inside. Now, after years of hiding amongst the Golds, Darrow is finally ready to declare open revolution and throw off the chains of oppression. Nothing in Darrow’s world has been easily won, and this final fight will be the most harrowing of all.
Anyone who knows me knows I absolutely love the Red Rising series. Those of you that have read Golden Son will know exactly why I need to get my hands on this book as soon as possible. The world Pierce Brown has created is intense, captivating, futuristic but also embodies the brutality of classical civilization. This is definitely one of my most anticipated books of 2016 and if you’ve not read this series yet I highly recommend you go pick them up.
Note: I think we can all agree the book covers for this series are badass!
What’s your most anticipated book?
I have never read a Pierce Brown book, but I have heard good things about this series and I really want to read it. Also, you are right the cover of this books is badass!

I NEED THIS BOOK, especially with how Golden Son ended. I read the prologue the other day and I nearly cried from wanting. I am gonna try and ignore this book until January for the state of my mental health XD

I just need a happy ending of some sort. I have doubts that we’ll get one but a girl can hope haha. I feel like I need to emotionally prepare myself for this book cause I’m 100% positive that it’s going to be gut-wrenching.
